A chemical exfoliant is one where you don't have to scrub your skin for old cells to fall away. Some examples are salicylic acid, Glycerin and Benzyl Benzoate.

A chemical exfoliant, is just an exfoliant that does all the exfoliating on it's own. You don't have to scrub or rub your face, which is great for sensitive skin! since you have oily skin you should use a BHA (Salicylic Acid) chemical exfoliant.. Salicylic Acid has the ability to exfoliate both the surface of your skin and inside the pores. All brands I've seen other than Paula's choice, is Vichy and dermalogica.

I work with dermalogica & love them. A chemical exfoliants is when a chemical has a reaction with other chemicals to kill old skin cells
