Hey beautiful ladies,

Ok so I'll get straight into it... Just have two questions about hair products :)

Question 1:
Can I put hairspray in my hair before curling it with a curling wand? (Will it damage my hair?)

Question 2:
What is a good heat protectant spray that I can purchase in australia?

Thank you! ❤️

Question 1; I wouldn't personally do that, just because I feel as though the chemicals and the straightener would just damage my hair. Probably better to just spray it lots after each curl you do :)

And I've heard good things about the tresemme heat protectant, I'm looking into it also haha

I can't answer you 2nd question, but as for your 1st question, yes you can. I'm sure it's a little damaging. using the curling wand itself is damaging. but it's not going to destroy your hair. I always spray my hair with hairspray before curling it, otherwise the curls won't hold :s

To question 1 I do that every time I curl my hair and it makes my curls last longer and it makes them come out really nicely curled.

I am not Australian, but do you know the girl on YouTube that curled her hair and then ended up holding the strand in her hand? In an interview she said she had used hairspray prior to that. Plus the spray burns into the wand which isn't that great if it was expensive and the chemicals burn into your hair.
Plus I don't like the feeling your curls have when you add hairspray first.
What I found helpful was the pink heat protectant for curls by L'oreal, mine usually hold good with that and I don't have to use hairspray. (It's called studio hot curl)
