I know you are told to wait 2 weeks before waxing! But little old impatient me is wondering if that is true AND if there are specific *at home* waxes that are better at getting out shorter hairs! Thank you (:

It is true so that you can get out all hairs because when you're getting waxed you want the hair that's getting waxed to be pulled out evenly and at the same time, so then when it regrows it's not like patchy or anything. As far as shorter hairs, I don't know about wax per say but I know Nair has a good hair removal cream for the bikini area. As far as recommendations for wax I know that Veet and Nair may have wax not just for the bikini area but for legs and such too :)

Hard wax that you can do it at home is so good and you don't need stripes.

The smaller hairs can be removed from the root with an epilator, or they can be shaved. To wax them, they're supposed to be at least 1 cm long.

You are supposed to wait 2 weeks because hairs can be in different stages of the three growth cycles. When you get waxed you want all the hairs to be in the anagen stage ( first stage where hair actively grows) so when you wait for as much of the hair as possible to all be in the same stage you will then get a better outcome and it will grow back slower. If you have ever been waxed and your hair started to grow back sooner than usual it was because it was in the telogen stage when waxed and went right in to the anagen and grew back
