I was messing around with the OCC Lip Tars but whenever I put them on it would make my lips look dry but the thing is my lips aren't dry at all and I exfoliated them with a tissue they had and moisturized but it still looked like crap I really like them how can I make them work?

They may look pretty but they might also just not be your thing. if you wanted to you could try an extra moisturizing lip balm but I'm not sure what else you could do.

Maybe put a gloss on top can make it look less dry.

I'd exfoliate and moisturize right before you put them on! You can also layer a gloss below or on top. A lip liner might help as well because that's a barrier between your lip and the color. I know there are also lip primers that you can try if need be. It might just be that the product is settling into the lines in your lips therefore making them appear really dry. A primer or liner could possibly fix that. I'm not completely sure though!

Most people don't ;) I've found that it just gives a layer between your lips and the product so that it can't settle into the lines of your lips and such and give you a dry look. I use it a lot with matte lipsticks because they can often have that dry appearance.

OCC has a lip primer for their lip tars.
But the lip tars are very very pigmented... it is very easy to use too much. You only need a pin drop amount for them.

Thank you. :) I did use a little but it stuck to the dry part of my lips that I didn't even know was there!
