The only thing about that is that my only knee high boots are brown, and I'm not sure how I'd feel about that combo. I do like the idea of a belt though, this is a lot of plaid now that I think about it, haha!

Normally I'd just throw on a leather jacket, that's going to cover a lot, but I totally see your point. A belt would be good, or possibly black tights and maybe a leather vest? I have both a black one and a white one, that could be kind of cool...ooooh I just love black and plaid I'm such a 90s girl at heart. Do you think I could wear grey, maybe? I have a pair of grey thigh high boots that could look really cool with this dress, I think.

If its a dark grey, why not. I would definitely wear a leather jacket and knee high leather boots. You could also put on a blazer and pumps for a more sophisticated look. As for casual just a long necklace and flats. I really like your original idea of a leather vest/jacket with heeled ankle bootie!

Actually, they're rather light grey, but they're super cool. I can't attach a photo, the website is malfunctioning or something right now. I'm actually really not a flats person, if I were going casual, do we think that maybe some wedge sneakers or flat boots would work?

Flat boots would definitely work too, wedge sneakers would be perfect with a leather vest. Leather cuffs and a thin belt would be perfect. I'm completely obsessed with how your going to put this together.

I really must get this dress...I don't have it yet but I feel like I do and that makes it necessary for me =) I'm a sucker for leather, and I think that the plaid would be awesome and I'm so excited and I'm really glad that you guys think so too =)

I think a cropped denim jacket or a vest (studded/patchy one would keep up the punk vibes) and motorcycle boots with scrunchy socks would be a really cute twist on the jeans-and-a-flannel look!

Layer with a denim shirt and converse to be mega casual and it gives you a great chance to wing out your eyeliner or go with a simple dark lip! to be a bit more I don't know girly use a belt and put it over a dark colored pair of sweater tights and a cute boot!

Thanks y'all! Sim, I loathe winged liner but thanks anyway, and I actually don't own a denim shirt or converse, but I do have black sneakers so I'll probably do that :)
