Opinions on whether I should purchase a set? Also any good application tips and color choices?

I found them really drying, but the color stays. A little goes a long way. Definitely use a brush for application.

I would try them out! There are so many great shades! A little definitely goes a long way, it can be very messy if you aren't aware of the liquid formula. I used waaaaaay more than I actually needed, and my lips are gigantic.

I would get a lip brush to help apply it easier, although the package comes with one. I just like having a longer brush handle.

Make sure your lips are moisturized and use a lip liner so it doesn't feather. :) I like the Sephora collection universal lip liner so I can use it with all my lippies. :) Good luck!
