I have used my CHI for 4 years now and I love it. Not sure what the exact model name is but it's the cheapest one. Sedu & Solia are also good brands, look at TJ Maxx for a deal!
ghd line is great if you do not get a self adjusting one! some adjust the temperature on there own changing with the texture and porosity of your hair, this can be inconvenient I've found on coarse hair because it will not heat high enough if you're porosity is not even. bottom line go with one that you can adjust the temperature, Paul Mitchell, babyliss, and chi would be my recommendations
Hands down a GHD. After one use, you'll wonder where it's been all your life. I've had mine for 4 years and it works as well as it did when I first got it.
I got a Bellaza hair straightener from Marshall's about a year and a half ago it was only $30!! and I love it! it goes from 250-450 degrees. I get so many compliments on how straight my hair is and how long it lasts.
