My New Years resolution is to get stronger and trim down a little bit. The beginning of the year is always the craziest time at the gyms, so I'm looking for some strengthing workouts I can do at home. Any ideas? I'm mostly working on my abdominals/hips and legs (:
Make sure to keep ourself motivated- try putting up sticky notes all over the house, throw out all unhealthy food, and try to put to gather delicious healthy foods. If you can get Pintrest, it will serve you well and motivate you.
I'm not sure if yoga is your thing but I have found it great for improving my flexibility, toning up and even building strength. I found this website http://www.doyogawithme.com and I love it. It's got loads of yoga sessions for all different levels of ability.
Hi there! I saw your post and I thought I would give my opinion... I don't go to the gyms and I don't pay to be fit, I wouldn't say I'm ripped but I'm close to having my 6 pack :)
My workout is a kind of combo, the exercises are cardio and strength at the same time, so I get a stronger body and burn calories. I began with Zuzana Light's workouts, she's really amazing. She has a channel on youtube. I'd also recommend to check charliejames1975 channel with Zuzana. You can combine the exercises as you want and get an intense routine. Hope that was helpful, good luck!
Barre workouts are great! You'll see fast results so to me, that's the most motivating! You can do it at home, with a chair for your "bar." I also really like pilates and tae bo or other kickboxing. There's so much you can do at home. When I was in the best shape of my life a few years ago, I did not belong to a gym or take a single class. I did it all in my living room.
Try a body bar class. It's extremely fun and wonderful for your body. Also if you're trying to work out at home or individually in the gym make sure you have a great playlist to keep you wanting to look your best. Keeping yourself motivated is the best, especially because results won't show right away. Good luck!!
