Emphasizing/changing your facial features by darkening the hollows of the face with a darker shade and putting a lighter shade on the higher parts of the face. just look up some pictorials and tutorials :)

It creating darker areas on your face that you would like to shrink like under your cheekbones to create bigger larger cheekbones I personally love contouring
