Is it best for you put on eye liner before or after eye shadow?

After eyeshadow because then you would be putting eyeshadow over your eyeliner defeating the purpose of even wearing it! Eyeliner can be hard to put on over shadow so I would say to start thin with your liner and thicken to what you want, because if you go thick, there's no turning back!

I honestly feel it depends on the look you're going for.
I've seen girls put eyeliner on before eyeshadow if they're looking for a less harsh line/more blurred out look. you can also use eyeliner to deepen the shade of your eyeshadow if it's the same or a similar colour. however, if you're looking for a precise, clean line, definitely apply after eyeshadow.

If I'm putting a wing I do it before and after. I still find it hard to get even wings so I make sure I make em even first, thn put my eyeshadow thn go over my liner agin if I want it dramatic or leave it if I want it more matte and sutle.

I do the same thing as M G lol. I always do my wings first, because I can remove or fix it without ruining my shadow. Then I do my shadow and go over it again at the end lol.

I agree with Kyraa as well. However I should add that it depends on the type of eyeliner too, whether it's pencil, liquid or gel eyeliner! If it's pencil it should go on too of eyeshadow just because pencil eyeliner tends to be softer in general. If it's gel or liquid which tend to be more intense you can apply before for more than pencils subtle definition, or over for a sharp precise line like Kyraa said!

I always apply eyeliner after eyeshadow - otherwise, I find it gets covered/diffused by the shadow.
