Have any of you ever gotten a facial before. Do they work?? Does it help with acne?? do the blackheads come back right away?? Does it hurt to get a facial??

It does not hurt. but all skin reacts differently. some people are red after for a bit just from all the massaging, others shiny, n some are the same as when they came in. there are many different masks available.

I think if youre ever feeling a bit under the weather or your skin needs a little treat, they're nice to get every once in a while! I hear Sephora's gives you a free facial if youre interested in a product actually :)

I have gotten facials in the past. My esthetician recommended them to clear up my acne and help improve my facial texture. I got one every 2 weeks for about 5 months and did indeed see an improvement. My acne was not magically gone overnight though, it took time to see improvement. I mostly kept going back because it was so relaxing, not really because of the end results. I can't afford to get them often enough anymore to do any good so I quit going. My skin is about the same as before I tried them, no major improvements sadly. Everyone's skin is different and you might really like the results you get from one, or not see any difference at all. If you can afford to get them done regularly then I say try it out! Treat yourself, it shouldn't make your skin any worse.

I agree with the other girls on the fact that every skin type will react different. I also heard that its common to see more breakouts after since the facial will push out all the gunk.
however I don't think its worth it to treat acne since some people may need a prescription medication that is stronger. but if its for pampering yourself I'm all for it!

We all have different skin types. I have fairly dry and sensitive skin so I need to watch what is in the facial/mask. But I like to use them every now and then to pamper myself when needed. My favorite is definitely MaryKay Botanical Mask, it is perfect for sensitive skin and I notice that it smooths my complexion and gets rid of my stubborn as heck black heads.

This is dependant on the facial itself.
Everyone can sit here and tell you ten thousand things about skin type etc.but...
There are various facials. Someone may be talking bad about a steam facial and someone else may be talking good about a ipl photofacial and it just makes it unrealiable.
You are supposed to be evaluated by a professional before hand who will tell you what you need or don't need.
Any concern should really be adressed with a professional because they will physically see your skin and work on what you need.
Overall, find a good spa or office... check out reviews and make a visit. They will figure out alpropriately what you need and what facial suits you and how they work.. there are far too many facials for different things to say what works or not.
