I heard that putting Milk of Magnesia on your face before Foundation helps your face not get so oily. I have only done it twice, once for a music festival and again this morning for eight hours at school. I think it does a pretty good job, although it doesn't entirely keep my face oil-free. Has anyone tried this, and does it break you out?

It does help keep oil at bay, but keep in mind that it's actually very bad for the skin on your face. It's PH is far off for your skin ( can contribute to break outs, increased oil production, other skin issues ) and creates a very nice breeding ground for bacteria since it basically destroys any good bacteria meant to keep your face nice. I personally don't think it's worth ruining one's skin over *one* good result when there are excellent primers on the market that aren't even pricey.

I would just recommend getting a good primer. I use a mattifying primer called OC8 that I ordered off of amazon. I have super oily skin, and it works wonders! It keeps me matte all day long!

It's good to use once in a while but it's not good for using every day. It makes you pH for your skin imbalanced over time, which can lead to break ours and cause drying of the skin. It also deters away from your skin being able to balance out the oils on its own, which will just make you more oily when you don't use it.
