I've learned to love my scars. Caitriona, I have one by my eye too, also a bad memory.
On my forehead I also have a scar from the stitches I got when I was in 1st grade and fell face-first on gravel. Ouch!
Anyway, I just think I wouldn't be myself without my scars, so I love them!
& I wish I could love my stretchmarks but I don't..yet.

I can't help but giggle when I read threads about scars, because seeing how insecure it makes everyone feel is so silly.
My dad has a scar far bigger than any of these and its the only scar that I think anyone has a right to be insecure about. It doesn't bother me but I know it bothers him.
He was working on a car and the car brakes messed up, ran his leg over.
Needless to say of the result, you can tell where every bone, part, etc.is on his leg. Hos leg was basically cut in half amd they had to take skin from everywhere to make it appear a somewhat similar color.

I have a big scar under my left eye from being pushed off a bed when I was 5. My face was sliced by metal 😩 at first it was hard growing up with it but as I got older my face got bigger and my scar got smaller. It's still noticeable now but idc :) I can semi-cover it with makeup/side bangs.. And all guys I date never notice it at first maybe after about 6 months of us dating lol

I like how were all discussing our scars! haha. I only have two really big ones, on my knees. both from a bike! lol the first one, I decided to ram into my brother head on and that ones faded so it's hardly noticeable. the other was from when I was a little girl, I fell off my bike at full speed. It was gross, the meat and bone was showing, pretty dope. I was actually more fascinated at that than the fact I just flew off my bike at 6 lol! It still hasn't faded, but I don't mind it. My boyfriend has a scar; same size and everything in the same place! haha so it's like we're meant 2 be ;)

I have some scars on my arms that I wish weren't there but they are part of my recovery. But I really wish they weren't there in the first place.

@Rasheeda M.
I have a scar in the same place. Everyone I meet asks about it but I just tell them that I had surgery and it doesn't really bother me that they ask. I don't think scars are capable of making a beautiful face ugly, they just give it a little something unique. I have 3 locations on my face where you can obviously see there was stitches. But I don't even try to cover them up because, really, people who embraces their imperfections seem even more perfect;) and as you can see, A LOT of people have scars and like they have stated, they have learned to live with them and even love them as the thing that makes them beautifully different!

I accepted my scars. I have one under my chin from falling in the bath as a toddler, I have one on my upper lip under my Cupid's bow from falling while getting out of the pool. I have a scar from falling off my bike on my knee and I have two scars on the same knee from surgery. They're what make me, me. Although, I do not like my stretch marks, but eventually (and hopefully) they'll fade and be better.

Wow being teased for SCARS? gosh the nerve of some people, that's so dumb! I have tons of little scars on my arms and legs, no ones ever pointed them out! how weird and sad people go after a scar lol.

Shannie, I have the same problem (but my scars are more on my arms) and I hate them too. I just regret doing what I did and I hate when people point them out too.

Yeah kids are cruel, although I was only made fun of a few times and indeed was was as a KID! lol so sad. it was for being skinny though. which I think made me hate my body type in the long runs haha. that is dumb. I'm sorry they were so mean to you. :( and oh rumors. aren't those hilarious? lol.

Alexis, I've had 1 heart surgery, a knee surgery, only two from surgery but I have another from scratching my own face too hard as a child, falling from a tree and landing bad on my leg, and getting hit on the elbow with a baseball bat!

I'd like to say that congratulation to those who stopped self-harming and accepted themselves.
I found that for myself to truly move on those regrets, I had to show that I accepted them and moved on by allowing myself to be confident.
If you show yourself that you're a strong confident person then strangers will cease to glare at your self harming scars and you will eventually forget that they are there.
It does fade & become less raise in time.
