The width & curve and band, all around structure comes into play for a fit eyelash curler perfect for your eyes.I like Billy B,Kevyn Aucoin,Shiseido.I'll add a picture of them side by side and also point out I compared them next to a lower cost brand that has the white band.Look at the shapes :)

The first Black band one is Billy B the red second one is Kevyn A and you can't see the shiseido next to kevyn lol but it's there and the lower cost brand is the white band and notice it's just straight and flat.

I have Shiseido and Revlon one...though I do love my "nice" one and use it more often, the cheap Revlon is a close second. just make sure to clean them and replace the pads when needed.
