First up, I have dry skin & the only part of my face that's oily is my chin.

I've used a huge variety of primers from high end to drugstore yet it's not doing much apart from giving me a smooth base.

My foundation collection consist if NARS, MAC, loreal, revlon, Napoleon Perdis, Estée Lauder & Baremineral.

I like a medium coverage where it's enough to hide any dark spots on my cheeks & I always spritz my face with a setting spray.

It really only lasts an hour? That's strange, what do you use to apply your foundation?

Do you also set your foundations with a good powder? it really helps to keep foundation in place.

I agree with setting it. set it with a powder and then a good setting spray like urban decay. Once I started doing this my makeup lasts all day.

Are you letting the primer set on your face before applying foundation? let it sit and dry for a few minutes to have it really do it's effect.

I had this problem, it lasted about only 4 hours and my moisturizer was to thick. You may want to switch that out and see what happens. I never set my makeup my face is just too dry but after switching my moisturizer my makeup last atleast a whole school day

I set my face with NARS light reflecting powder as it doesn't irritate my skin & alter the shade of my foundation.

I've used different tools from sponges to foundation brushes to just my finger tips. Nothing lasts through the day, let alone an hour.
