After watching a video I think the nars sheer matte foundation in Siberia may be a pretty good match for me but I had a few questions first before I spent the money.
1) From the reviews I've watched it seems to keep you pretty matte (which is what I need) and last most of the day. The issue I have with products is that I get really oily then they separate or just come off, has this ever happened to any of you who have tried this? I would just need it to last through a school day, plus a little more.
2) What is the coverage of the product? I know it says sheer, but a lot of people said medium to full. But most of them had better skin. Have any of you tried it with moderate acne and what was the coverage you got? Will it cover redness (I have a lot). I wouldn't mind getting a concealer and actually am buying one but I just want to stick with getting the actual foundation first
3) What is the best way to apply it? Brush, hands, BB sponge?
Thank you!

1. It has a "matte" finish but it in no way keep my skin matte all day. I had to blot 2-3 times during the school day. I was not impressed.

2. I would say it's medium coverage if you build it. Paired with concealer you can cover acne.

3. I used a flat foundation brush and a stippling brush. You could blend it out with a damp beauty blender.

On a scale of 1-10, my skin is literally a 10 when it comes to oiliness. If you would categorize your skin like that it's probably not the best product for you. I would try a sample first

The reality of foundation is that it will indeed need (touch up's) No matter what, you can not rely on it to last all day it will how ever depending on product will last longer then some but it all plays together with sister ingredient with other products you share to finish your look. You ever notice on movie set's or photo shoots Touch up's are always called for? well it's because there is no way around it that is simply going to happen.I use the Nars sheer Matte and actually like it,I use it with Hourglass primer and the finish is very nice I also use a Hourglass ambient powder over it as well. The MATTE so to speak does it's job as long as it can no foundation is concrete but you can come close to it a bit by getting your matte sister products together.Moisturizer Matte oil free, primer Matte finish, foundation matte, powder or unpowder minimal application with the right tool and amount you put on only apply where needed then spritz with a finish spray.Think of your routine and application they all work together you create your finish.Hope this helps you in some way. Reviews on a product is not always the way to go when looking for what works best for you because behind that review you don't know what their routine is when applying the product for it not to work.Just give product's a shot and you'll soon find what works for you.:)

Thanks Alma. I ended up getting the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. It seemed like it fit what I wanted better, plus I've wanted to try it for longer. If it doesn't work I will defiantly try the Nars sheer matte, or after I buy the chocolate bar palette

Your welcome Ashley,Naked skin is actually really nice and subtle as well and just a little secret it reminds me of Ellis Faas foundation and completely at a lower cost ;)

I feel it's a light finish and not amazing at all

The sheer matte is my favorite! I've had acne and it covered it so nicely but looked like my skin! I need a dupe for it due to the fact that I can't afford to pay $45 for it.

You also need to set it with a powder...
