I have a bad problem with my nails. I always rip them off when they get messed up, a nasty habit. My thumbs always get messed up for no reason, but I don't know what to do. Some of my nails are longer than the others and they won't grow fast. What should I do to help them grow and protection? They are very thin.

Well if your nails are thin, then don't do acrylics. That will damage them more. I agree with Jacqlyn, do that. Then I recommend painting them and then working up to acrylics.

The best way to protect thin nails for me was to get shellac & I buy a nail strengthener by Sally Hansen & it's definitely worked.

I use a combination of a nail hardener and growth serum from salley hansen, it honestly saved my nails. they grew out super quick and it was quick enough for me to see results almost instantly which stops you from biting them because they look good. I used the nail hardner because when your nails grow that fast they get really weak and I remember being able to bend my nails in half, after using the nail hardner I could barely bend them at all.

I use a nail stregthener and I am also taking prenatal pills which help a lot with vitamins and nail and hair growth so my nails have been growing pretty fast and thick. There are also some special garlic polishes that help with nail growth. I use to bite my nails a lot but now that theyve been growing out thicker and prettier I avoid it as much as I can lol :)
