I have very, very dry skin on my nose & different spots on my face & I've tried just about everything. Any suggestions on what to try next? I NEED HELP! I want to go to a dermatologist but don't really have the cash so... Yeah.

I discovered Pond's Cold Cream. You massage it into your face and wipe it off with a warm cloth. My face use to flake but now with this it adds extra moisture. For added moisture I apply vitamin E oil.

Can you tell us what your normal skincare routine is? Generally I'd say to avoid harsh cleansers or treatments, exfoliate, and use a moisturizer specifically for dry skin.

I've been using yes to carrots day / night cream. I have flaky combination sensitive acne prone skin. So the worst of everything.
But it's working really well at moisturising.
I also recommend body shop vitamin c microdermabrasion. It's so good. smooth yet great at getting rid of dead dry skin.

Also don't use any harsh astringents, chemicals, toners, alcohol.

Is the mud cleanser like a clay mask? I'd avoid anything that claims it'll absorb oil or draw out impurities, as they can be really drying. Similarly, unless your witch hazel is twice distilled it'll have alcohol in it, which can definitely make dry skin worse.

I'd try the aveeno, cerave or cetaphil as a cleanser, they're all supposed to be quite gentle. For exfoliating I use a Konjac sponge, it's manual exfoliation but super gentle. You can get them on amazon for like $5. Coconut oil can be a great moisturizer, but people react to it differently. Some love it, others find it breaks them out. Jojoba oil is pricier, but non-comedogenic.

I would try a gel cleanser. Avoid foaming Cleansers. The Ponds Cold cream is a good idea. I have dry skin and I use Murads redness therapy gel cleanser, and I follow up with fix + and MAC Studio cream. It's been working well for me. I also use a Murad moisturizer but it's so expensive... :/
