I have recently started watching the Carrie Diaries...its awesome! I have fallen in love with Carrie's hair and makeup! Anyone know any good tutorials for either or have any tips? :) x

Yeah I love her too!! In this photo she has kind of a bronzy dewy makeup and just slim curling wand ringlet curls with a little bit of texturizing spray or dry pomade to achieve that "piece-y" look. Sorry if I'm wrong :)

Pretty sure that Anna Sophie Robb had a perm done for season 1 so her hair appeared curlier.

The makeup is relatively simple though. Long natural lashes, strong filled brows, pop of colour on her lips and often a light rosy blush. Oh and I remember seeing some shine on her cheeks, so highlighter with shimmer.

There's a lot of tutorials on YouTube, I know one (I can't remember who) that does a makeup tutorial for every episode lol.

The curls are made with perm rods now, but she didn't get a perm. The first season they used 1/2 inch curling iron. I saw an interview with her saying how damaged her hair was from curling it and how by the midway point of filming season one she was shopping around for wigs. But the hair artist got her to put tight perm rods in instead, on wet hair and to sleep with them in. Then they'd touch up any with a curling iron. She was saying how while filming every 2 days she goes to a salon and gets her hair washed and gets perm rods put it in, then in the morning she goes and gets them taken out lol.

Beautyklove on YouTube also has a hair tutorial for it without heat, using bubble wrap lol.
