Ok so I just recently chopped my hair to donate and now for the first time in my life I have short hair. I'm a night - shower kinda person so what I wanna know is what should I do to make my hair nice and flat without drying it before I go to bed. btw my hair is super thick.

Put it in a low ponytail.

I always have a pony tail line from the hair tie though.

Leave it. Just comb it first thing in the morning

So no products?

Avoid going to bed with products. your pillowcase will be filthy.

try putting a lot of elastics onto your ponytail and separate them evenly. there are lots of heatless hair straightening tutorials online.

I have found nothing that doesn't give me that ridiculous line from the hair tie :-\

A youtuber named Krazyrayray does a "heartless straightening" video if you're able to watch it.

I'd like to add: Make sure you keep your windows closed, sleeping with wet hair might and could give you a cold.

I've heard with sorry hair a good product is not your mother's beach spray, then you should blow dry your hair upside down.

First of all..so rad that you donated your hair👍 I would go to bed with it down and in the morning dampen it and comb straight and also don't worry about sleeping with wet hair if your window is open like Breeze said. It's a myth, colds are caused by viruses😉

Just lay on it and let it do it's thing. And I have to agree about the not your mothers sea salt spray, it is the BEST thing I have ever used on my short wavy hair to give it texture. Here's a pic of my hair after going to sleep with a wet head, waking up and spraying that in my hair. I just give it a little scrunch here and there while the sea salt spray dries... and voila!!

I think it'd be fine to sleep on it wet, but the thing with short hair (and I don't know how short yours is) is that you can't just roll out of bed and not do your hair. You have to do your hair or it'll look like a little boy! You can do the same thing Tia S. did and it would be super super cute or just curling the ends under.

@Gypsy not all colds are caused by viruses ;)

I know colds are caused by a virus, but there's truth in what I wrote. the common cold can be caught only when your body temperature gets low enough for it to thrive. But you can have the dormant virus in you for a long time until it's just cold enough. Of course, your immune defenses should be low too for you to catch it. There's science in what I say, come ooon! :)
Sorry about it getting not relevant but it needed to be said..I care about you guys, I don't want anyone to get sick! lol

Colds are caused by viruses. Infections are caused by bacteria. That's how you get sick. End of story. Wet hair and cold air DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT MAKE YOU SICK.
You could wrap your hair, apply some mousse and wrap, brush out in the morning and it will be straight and ready to go!

Bree you rock girl!😉

You guys are both right. The cold temperature cannot make you sick the virus does. However, if you do have the rhinovirus just chillin in your system your immune system has a harder time keeping it at bay when your body temp is cooler than usual because your blood isn't moving as fast as it usually does.
