You might have some particularly sensitive skin - probably best to see a dermatologist.

I used to think the same thing! I felt like it wasn't cleaning my skin. Though, the hydrating cleanser doesn't lather up so it doesn't strip your skin and it's better used for those with dry patches.

People are under the impression that you need to scrub your skin to death to clean it which is the worse thing for acne , acne is caused by inflammation and bacteria so using the hydrating cleanser in the morning paired with salicylic acid, tee tree oil or benzoyl peroxide helps to address both issues , but some people prefer cleansers that studs up if your really having no luck with any products I suggest you try seeing a dermatologist you may need more than just something over the counter products can provide hun.

Yes the hydrating cleanser will feel strange at first and your using the moisturizer after the foaming one and you still felt dry?and this cleanser is only for morning when you wouldn't need a deep clean anyway, give it some time but make sure your still using the acne fighting things as well and if it breaks you out worse then try a dermatologist hun you have said you tried everything so at the end of the day you wanna solution to your skin issues but do give it at least six weeks unless it's making it worse
