Stila liquid lipstick help.

Hi, so I wanted to get the stila liquid lipstick in patina, as a deep mauve. I heard it looks light in the tube but applies deeper. Has anyone tried this , and if anyone is tan in colour, does it show up as a nice mauve?  Thanks!
