I use this while my hair is damp, just spray it into roots and flip it over to blow dry it then set it all with some big sexy hair hairspray. Hope I could help

My hair is very flat too! I recently got this from sephora for $18, it's a little pricey but it's honestly the best hair product I've used so far. You can use it on both wet and dry hair and it's not greasy or crunchy but just the right amount of stiffness. I love it overall :)

You could use a crimper to crimp underneath your top layer of hair near the roots so you hair sits on top and looks bigger

I use the same spray as Lauren and it works great! Also teasing helps if you're okay with that. Some people hate it 😛

You can tease a little or invest in a good texturizing spray :) I suggest the loreal one. My hair naturally is really thick and poofy so I don't have flat problems but when I do straighten my hair flat I find that texturizing spray works so good for volume :)
