I have blue-ish purple hair and I want it dark blue and I am using splat in "blue envy" and I want to know if I need to bleach it first.

-Do a color removed (like l'oreal color zap or color oops)
-then bleach
-then go in with the dye

I probably would just to be sure the colour comes out how you want it to, putting the blue over the purple will probably make your hair red.

Use a purple toner bleach like Clairol kaideocolors. To make sure your blue doesn't come out green.

Hi! I just test dyed my underneath layer red by Special Effects Hair Dye, it's incredible!! All the reviews I've read are true, it's brilliant, and holds better than even perm dye, how that works I don't know??
