Get a makeup room or buy some stackable containers (Walmart sells a ton of those plastic draw things the roll around so you can just put it in another room then roll in back in when you need it). To get rid of clothes in your closet have a summer and winter cloths bin so all the stuff that you don't wear for the season gets packed away and out of the way.
