That's not a smokey eye. a smokey eye , your entire lid is darkest and gets lighter creating the smoke effect.
however it is very pretty for a night out:with some huge lashes, (:

A smokey usually consists of three shadows: a dark shadow, a lighter one, and an even lighter one. For this example we will use the colors, black, dark brown, and a sheer copper.
First prep and prime your eyes like you normally do, if you do. Then apply your copper over your lid, crease and up to the bottom of your browbone, but not on it. Next apply your dark brown shade to your lid, and into your crease, then just slightly above your natural crease. Next I like tou apply my black liner. Make sure you choose a blendable liner because you will want to smudge it upward, keeping it darkest at the base. Next I would apply my black shadow to the bottom/middle of the lid, pretty heavily but not too much.
BLEND, BLEND, BLEND!!
The key to a successful smokey eye is the blending... It has to be impeccable. The transition from one color has to be so smooth and gradient-like that you can't tell where one color stop and the other starts. so blending and diffusion is important...
You also want to make sure to not have a straight edge at the outer corner of your eye, creating that cat effect, because a smokey eye is an organic natural looking shape. It is smokey. lol
I am not the best at explaining it, but I hope this helped. Just remember it takes a long time to master it, I myself haven't completely done so yet, but I am learning from the best. If you want an even better explanation I would talk to Miss Jackie, she is the expert on smokey eyes, she is the one helping me and giving me advice.
Anyway, have a marvelous day and stay beautiful! Oh and what products did you use?

Thanks Alma... I understand, I was actually torn between what I posted and what you said. I did an hour of research. But I mean I can't be right all the time... Thanks for clearing that up.
:) Have a good day!
