Is sewing in hair a good choice for me ( i have a bit of damaged hair) i was wondering if it would damage it more???

I wouldnt sew it in if your hair is already quite damaged, because they have to be pretty tight and this can pull on your natural hair, plus its really itchy.
Have you heard of a method called micro loop or micro ring? Strands of hair are attached to tiny metal rings that are (ideally but not always) lined with silicone, this cushions your hair as you have to clamp the metal rings to your hair.
If i was you I'd go on to YouTube and search 'micro ring hair extensions' there are loads of videos to show you what i mean.

Well a professional should be able to sew your hair on while helping the hair underneath develop and grow. You should try to find someone who advertises hair health as well as a nice sew in.

Before getting extensions I would seriously address the damage first. I think weaves on damaged hair is just asking for trouble. I go with using hair that you can clip in yourself for those days where you want to glam up or for just everyday usage so then that way you can get your hair back to healthy and strong so you can go for that sew in if you like.

I got them sewn in for years while I was regrowing my hair and I finally decided to take them out for now and have my natural hair for a bit. Not only do they look awesome, they last for about 4 months (then need to be redone) and now my real hair is sooo soft and shiny. I only got three rows and she did small braids and added synthetic hair to the braids so hardly any of my hair was in it. Let me know if you do get it because I have tips to wash them easier.

and by easier I really mean ways to wash them so that your human hair extensions will last you twice as long. I only ever bought new hair once a year and my stylist was super impressed with the condition.

@Tara K what I did was tie the lower part of my hair down at the nape of my neck. So basically I would gather all my extensions and the hair between them and put them into a low bun. Then I would take the top part of my hair (what is above the last weft) and pull it over towards the front of my face and wash only that. I only washed my extensions once a week and regularly used silk infusion on them overnight (since they do not get natural oils from your scalp). My extensions lasted so long and my stylist was always amazed at how well they stayed healthy and nice.

Tilly M. has got it spot on. I am a hairdresser and I completely stand behind her opinion. Microlinks are a godsend for those who don't want to use tight stitching, harsh glue removal systems, or constantly clipping things in and out.

I've tried all methods of extensions and have worn them for many years, unfortunately I haven't found any that aren't damaging especially as I colour my hair. Removal is really the most damaging part and should be done gently...I'm currently wearing a mixture of glued in wefts but add clip ins for extra volume!!

I just grow my hair.
My friend says dont get glue ins as they leave blobs of glue and matted hair everywhere.
