As of right now, I have DYED medium brown hair that goes down to almost the middle of my back... & I want to go a really bright but NATURAL looking red. I'm kind of scared to use the 30 volume developer because I don't want it to look unnatural, so should I use 20?? 10 isn't a question and neither is 40 lol... Also, I'm torn between the Copper Red or the Intense Red... or Red Fire??? Like I said I want it to look as natural as possible...but still bright! I'm taking a chance using this product because I have done extensive research and have read NOTHING but good reviews about it, but I don't know anyone personally who has used it that can give me advice! SOMEBODY PLEASE BE MY LIFESAVER AND HELP MEEE! LOL

And if anyone knows the amount of damage this product does to your hair please let me know, I've only dyed my hair maybe twice in the past 6 months because I'm trying to preserve the health of my hair. & also if anyone can tell me some awesome hair products (shampoo, conditioner, leave in) that will help the health status of my hair and also preserve the color!!!! I would seriously appreciate it! Thanks so much xoxoxoxo

There is a blogger (she is also a Beauty -- Search for Tina Marie C.) -- TinaMarie, and I've read a post about her Red her and she uses that exact L'Oreal Dye. Here is her blog: http://tinamarieonline.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-color-is-my-hair.html

Maybe you can ask her through her blog, or a message on her BL account...

I love this dye i use the red red hot i believe it is i used the 30 developer i love it!!! I also use a protein color filler which really helps my ends which are fried from a mishap a few months ago but after using the protein filler my hair is sooo soft and i love the color its the color in my profile pic!

I know i've seriously read nothing but good things about it. I'm still really confused as to what color I should pick, or if I should use the 'highlights' or the one that's all over color. One's in a black box and the other is in a yellow box I think. There are a lot of colors to choose from in the all over color version, but if I were to use the highlights I think I would just use 'RED'..I still don't know though!! :x

Is this the first time you have gone red? if so i would go with the highlights in the red to see what it looks like on you! If you want an all over color thats natural i would go with the light auburn, or maybe even the copper red

It's great!! I've used it and got VIBRANT results from dark brown to bright red. It's great. I used magenta. Definetly use it!

Earlier this year I spent fkn $220 at a rip-off salon to strip all the color out of my hair, dye it red, and it came out AWESOME!!...but it lasted about a week lol. I didn't really research the different methods you can do to keep it from fading, (red shampoo/conditioner, protein color filler, etc) so yeah I got jipped lol. Anyway the Magenta looks really pretty!!!!! I just don't want it to look purple-y. I want it RED! Which is why I'm thinking I'm gonna use the hilights in the RED color. Right now my hair is a medium/dark brown, so should I use the 20 or 30 volume developer???

Yeah I was thinking about the copper red also... I really like the color. But i want it to be vibrant too. Whats even the difference between the hilights and the hicolor??? Still a little confused about that

I think the highlights are used for just that highlights...i will say if your hair is past your shoulders i would use two boxes! I would use a 30 developer!

yeah i'm definitely gonna buy 2 boxes. my hair is about 4 inches past my shoulders. I've read that a lot of people actually use the highlights for their whole head though! & they said it works really good!!! ughhh I wish I knew for sure as to what to do. & I think I decided on the 30 volume developer since my hair is pretty dark, just kinda scared that it'll damage it but itll be nothing that a little tlc can take care of lol.

oh and can you guys let me know from personal experience..... does it dye your bathroom pink???? i have room mates and I don't think it'll be a good idea lol. Or if it has is there an easy way you can clean it up??? A pink bath tub is the last problem I need at the moment hahaha

If you use the protein color filler it deffinitely helps with the damage part the first time i used this i notice a little damage thats why i started using the filler i see a huge difference in it also get a deep conditioner to use on it after you rinse it out i like the ion one they have for like 99 cents a little packet. As for dyeing my bathroom pink no i really didnt make much of a mess at all and the little spots i did i got a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol and it came right up also it didnt stain my bathtub.
