I was my curly mane every 2-3 days. I use Hair Rules so suds shampoo and conditioner. To style I use Miss Jessies products. When going to bed I braid it up and then use a silk scarf to hold the frizzies at bay. My hair reaches my waist so its alot to handle at night but when I wake up in the morning I just unbraid it and I lightly spray it with a leave in conditioner /water that I mixed together to kinda bring spring back to my curls. Hope this helps. :)
i highly recommend twisting your hair all over and maybe leaving it up or taking them down and wearing them out after a few hours. Whenever I am ready to wash my hair, detangling them with my fingers from their twists is so easy. I hardly ever use a comb and I get so much less breakage. Also, I use a leave-in spray by Pravana called Hydrating Intensive and a creme conditioner by Smooth'N Shine Polishing called Silk Fusion Treatment. I use many products on my hair but lately I've been using these and it makes my hair so soft and easy to detangle. Hope this helps.
Have you tried braiding, twisting, or Bantu knotting your hair nightly? I rocked curly fros mostly all summer last year and I used these techniques to keep my curls fresh. You could also try flexi rods!
braiding your hair in sections and applying moisture at night, then you can style in the am. Try small or jumbo twist for styles. Use YouTube (look up MsAriella89), she has some great ideas!!! Tell her i sent you ^_^
I like to spritz my hair with a spray bottle containing 3/4 water and 1/4 conditioner, add a little shea butter or whatever styling product your using at the time, & then DETANGLE your hair with a wide tooth comb or a paddle brush!! I NEVER start styling without detangling first. It just makes life w. curls soo much easier and manageable :]
check out my blog post. it's exactly about my hair routine. I have really long, really curly, and pretty dry hair. I hope this helps!! http://glitter-and-life.blogspot.co...
