I edit my little sisters videos and I use imovie. I love it. As far as interacting while doing your makeup there is a voice over option. o you actually can just do your tutorial no talking then while you are editing go back and voice over and explain your steps.. I'm also looking to get a new camera..I just have a cannon power shot atm..But if you are looking for a great quality camera I would go with a Nikon!

I have some Kodak digital camera, hahahaha. And I just use Windows Movie Maker 'cos I don't want to spend 80$ on the Corel program I really like and I refuse to download and risk viruses.

As far as interacting and applying makeup goes, the more you practice, the easier it'll be. I'd even do it a few times without the camera on. So.. you know, whenever you're not filming but still putting on makeup for something else, just talk while you're doing it as if you are filming. personally, i'm just not a fan of voiceovers.

you should dooo itt ;) my camera sucks for recording, I wish it was better, none of the colors get picked up right. And I've just been using windows movie maker also. I had tried a free trial of sony vegas and I liked it but it was more confusing and obviously expensive =/

OH Hi! I just stumbled in here.... I am learning my way around still. I am loving everything so far! I've been working on my profile and have uploaded some stuff including a tutorial called "Bardot Eyes" take a look at it when you get a chance and please give your honest opinion ;) I'm a judge on Rupaul's Drag Race so some "Constructive" criticism is probably "due" me ;)
I hope you guys enjoy it!
