On thursday I would put the Lagoon Blue from the punky colors, i would like to know if anyone has good tips how to keep the color in using this?

No water, no heat, no sun. :D

Seriously though, I do not shampoo my hair, I only condition it (it works just as well for me). The only time I shampoo is just before I touch my colour up (3-4 weeks).

oh okay. do you switch up your conditioner?

Right now I am alternating between Kevin Murphy Luxury Rinse and Aveda Shampure Conditioner, I usually use at least 1 drug store conditioner (if not both), but I am trying to finally use up my Aveda conditioner.

Oh man... Those were my favorite in highschool. Fire and vermillion red. The loves of my life circa 2003. Have fun!

I have only used "violet" and "plum" in conjection with other dyes or conditioner... effing blue lagoon is soooooo beautiful though! anyways... I washed my hair with as cold of water as I could stand! It sounds miserable, which it is, but it helped sustain the color. (I bathed with my hair up so I had hot wate for my body, then put the cold water on and pointed the shower head away from me when had to wash my hair). You can use a color protecting shampoo/conditioner as well and I am sure that would help you. You can also mix whatever dye you have left into your conditioner or else a (white) deep conditioner to give you a little "boost." I find punky colors lasts longer than most other brands, so you should be in good hands anyways! =) Post a pic, I would love to see your beautiful blue lagoon locks! oh golly!

I used it for my turquoise a while back! It may also help to add a bit of the dye to your shampoo and leaving it on for 15-20 min in the shower before rinsing it out. Also when you're applying the dye for the first time try going over it with a blow dryer until it hardens, then putting a shower cap on and leaving it on for a while. Most dyes say you only need to leave them in for 15-45min, but I've left mine on for a few hours and it always comes out super bright. (Though I wouldn't recommend it if your scalp is sensitive to it.)
