I recently bought 3 of Victoria's Secret eyeshadows in Pure Honey (silk), Gilded Fierce (Silk) and Coco (mineral shadow). Has anyone purchased these? What did you think about them? Since the first two are lustres I'm worried about fallout. Your thoughts?
The only eyeshadows I really like from them are their matte ones. I don't have the other ones I have with me right now, but they are the ones with A LOT of sparkle in them, and they aren't even a powder really, they are like a cream that I have to layer and layer and layer until you can really see a bold color on my eye.
Who knows, maybe I'm using it wrong!
However, I have the matte color in "Bunny" and i use it as a highlight every single day. I love it!
That's interesting. because the colors I bought are lustres (they have shimmer in them) but I didnt find that I had to layer it. You are right about the consistency it is very creamy and buttery which I like. I swatched in and found they were very pigmented and then I wore Pure Honey on my lid with Coco in the crease for a look today and didn't find that the pigmentation was a problem (with one stroke of eyeshadow).
Gilded fierce is supposed to be the dupe for MAC's Guilt By Association eyeshadow that came out a while ago (which I never got). I'm curious to do a look with that one.
Man, maybe I just got some bad ones or something? I'll have to look into it. I got really frustrated and havent touched them since. I think i have Gilded Fierce, is that the black one? (I'm actually at work so I don't have them right in front of me) because thats the one that was making me angry! haha
oh no! I haven't use gilded fierce (yes, its basically black, with gold flecks). Hopefully I can use it this weekend and see if its worth it. I really like the color Coco (its a mineral shadow) and it blends like a dream. It's funny too, cuz I didn't see any matte ones there!
I have a vs eyeshadow and it works great, i only need one layer for a natural look, i ussually add 2 fir a more bold look, but its really quick and easy, the name is : wet/dry shadow baked shadow by beauty rush

I have one of the matte shadows and I love it. Very easy to blend, very pigmented. :)
*checks VS website* They must've discontinued the matte ones or something. :( They're not listed there anymore.
