My subscribers have not gone up at all... and I have 7 videos on my channel, already! I know they're pretty decent, comparing them to others that have thousands of subscribers. What's going on here?! :( HELP!

Growing a subscriber base takes time. Don't feel discouraged! Just keep doing what you love. I make sure to put a lot of relevant tags when I upload a video, then it will be more likely for people to find you in the YouTube search engine =)

Good luck! ♥

This makes me feel a lot better to be honest with you :) I was actually beginning to feel discouraged, and starting to feel like maybe this just wasn't for me... even with the love I have for it.
I have been putting in tags that are relevant, but maybe not the best ones? Can you give me a good example? :)

Thank you so much! <3

i really think that camera quality is REALLY important, i mean pictures are helpful too but when the video is high quality its more likely that i watch the whole video. Petrilude, Jazziebabycakes, QueenofblendingMUA, all my favourite youtube gurus that i think are amazing have really good video quality so maybe you should try that out (:

Good Quality: true to colour, not lagging, clear!

I totally agree with you! I'm thinking about getting a Flip camera to record. I'm scared to buy something that I'll end up regreting. I just want to know what camera has the best quality for recording but is also under $200.

if you have any suggestions, let me know! :)

i was once there but now im getting about 10 to 15 subbies daily you just have to go around and mingle comment on others videos and pages. Participate in tags and what not. Youtube isn't just about videos. Your subbies want to feel like they know u. Have you went by and thanked the ones whom have subscribed to you?

I have not, actually :( But when someone does comment my videos, I definitely reply to every one(which isnt a lot by the way)

I don't want to send out a thank you for subbing thingie because I feel like they'll feel like I'm just sending around a chain, you know? Well at least that's how I feel sometimes when I get one of those.

i'm having the same problem girl! anticipating on buying the Flip HD camera for better video quality... smh. i just subscribed to ur channel!

I use an Olympus camera. I think the model I have is around $400, but they plenty of other models for under $200 ( mine was a gift and is so pricey because it is a underwater camera), and some i think are even under $100. The video quality on these is pretty good and the picture quality is AMAZING. I can get really sharp pictures, which of course draws more attention to my videos when i put super sharp pics as my default pic.

I will say there not the best video camera's but are perfect for starting out (:

I plan i using mine for pictures forever and just buying a new video camera in like a year.

I know petrilude uses an Olympus (or at least used to) for his pictures, so that can kinda tell you their quality (:

Hope this helps <3

thank you both so much for taking the time to respond to my post! :) I actually figured out what camera I want.

It's the sony "bloggie"... the one that has a screen that flips out. I thought that would be good for recording myself so I don't have to keep looking at a mirror, and it has the same quality and the Flip... which was my first option.

I think I'm just going to go with that. Also, you can snap photos of the video, which is pretty cool :)

I just watched your videos and totally looking forward to seeing more :) Love your nose ring btw.

I think we're all there at the beginning. As am I. However, I will not quit. I do it because I love it. I am trying to get 200 subbies. And as soon as I do, I will start a contest, that should be fairly soon :)  Hopefully

I have the Sony Webbie, its the Bloggie now, but I got it when it first came out, idk y they changed the name but anyhoo, I do love it now that I finally got the right lighting, thats the one thing i hated in the beginning, so once you figure out the right lighting for you, the quality is AMAZING!!!! As far as subbies go, you should try to network on facebook & myspace if you even have/still use myspace that is lol. I get lots of request from fb.

Cynthia, do you have a regular FB page? Or is it a Fan page? I have one but I hardly go in it cause I'm always busy with all the other stuff. Plus I don't have any new friends, wah wah.  LOL

I have both lol, but yea I neglect the fan page a little hehehe

I actually did buy the Bloggie, hated it, returned it. And found my new love! But it's almost $200 more :(

It's the sony handycam. INCREDIBLE quality for such a little thing and pretty inexpensive for that type of thing.
I mean it basically has all the features a $2,000 webcam does. Can wait for it to be mine!!! :)

And Linda you can COUNT on me making hundreds of more videos.

Ms. Glitterazzi, I want to do a contest really bad, too. I'll do one once I get 100 subbies.

Ava! I'm new to YT..let's swap and subscribe (:

I have a Flip HD cam. I also use my MacBook webcam, but I really like the quality of the Flip!

If anyone wants to check out my channel, it's http://www.youtube.com/user/laceysmiles84

I have the same issue, I've been sitting at around 80 for so long now..

For my videos I use my Digital camera, it's a Canon Powershot... it's not the best, but i love it.

It takes time to get subs. When I first started I didnt have any subs. I'm just now getting there. Just keep at it, and it will pick up.

Same goes for me too!

I only have 15, but I don't make a lot of videos in the first place - maybe a couple per month. so I'm not really making a big deal out of it. If people subscribe, then they subscribe. I'm not going to force people to watch me ^^;

Maybe this winter vacation I'll make more... LOL.

If anyone's interested, my youtube is: http://www.youtube.com/user/amaaaalovee

It takes time...don't give up. If you're enjoying what you're doing keep at it.

I feel the same exact way a lot of the time but it's so fun and I enjoy it so much I can't stop I use the canon elph camera it's AMAZING! Was 180ish does 1080p plus awesome pictures! Here's my video I just did and it really shows the quality of the camera! (Sry I'm not trying to promote my video right now just thought it would help to see a example of the camera) it's very affordable specially for the quality! :)
