I have the same problem and have bought to s of drugstore waterproof mascaras and unfortunately none have worked for me. The only ones that have worked are. Smokey lash by MUFE. Chanel ,diorshow all waterproof
My eyelashes are not straight as much as short. I use Illegal Length mascara and it lengthens them well. Maybe with a curler, the mascaras would work better.
Agree with Latora E. above; Falsies' waterproof formula is ridiculous when it comes to curl-keeping power! I have what I call "elephant lashes" - stick straight, pointing downward, and incredibly hard to curl. Waterproof mascaras will definitely hold your curl better than non-waterproof formulas, and Falsies Waterproof is by far the best. If all else fails, just use good old false eyelashes. Nothing can beat them! XD
I don't think any mascara will give much curl if any. I was in that same position so I invested in an eyelash curler and fake eyelashes. I don't ever use both at once lol but both of them are a great solution. :) Also if you're afraid of curlers and long strips of eyelashes you can get eyelashes that are cut into tiny pieces and they are much easier to manage until you get the hang of actually applying them. I hope this helped even a little bit :)
I would try using a heated eyelash curler (Sephora) or heat your metal curler with a hairdryer and when it's warm (obviously not burning hot you don't want to burn your eyelids) curl your lashes. It will help your lashes keep the curl better and for longer. Then use a curling mascara on top :)
My eyelashes are exactly the same, when I'm drying my hair after a shower, I use my hair dryer to gently heat up metal eyelash curlers and I use them to curl my lashes as it styles them brilliantly. I definitely recommend the falsies or colossal maybelline mascaras as they hold the curl. I tried a Barry m waterproof mascara that worked wonders on my lower lashes but made my top lashes go flat after around 30 seconds. I hope this helps :) x
I have naturally long eyelashes, and i still am VERY picky about my mascaras. I've tried a ton of them and two of my favorites are maybelline one by one and maybelline mega plush.
I have the same lash type as you- extremely straight and hard to work with! What I do is curl them (probably ore than I should, but hey, they look AWESOME that way!) and I use two mascaras- Revlon Growlucious and the Cover Girl 24hour Lash Blast. I swear by waterproof mascara- it helps hold curl so well!! Also layering your mascaras really helps give a false lash effect. The revlon mascara really separates every single eyelash and the Lash Blast makes them super thick and long! They touch my eyebrows when I look up :) Personally I love that feeling haha. I hope this helped!!!
Use an eyelash curler first, there are these Japanese ones which I have and they r AMAZING but if u curl ur eyelashes first then use mascara... It helps. Or just curl them. :)
Believe or not, but Maybelline's Great lash in waterproof works wonders when it comes to keeping my lashes curled. Curl your lashes before applying 1 to 2 coats, let dry, and curl again. stays for about half a day.
I haven't read through the comments and all the replies but have you tried Jordana? If you have luck of getting your hands on Jap mascara, they are really good.
I use an eyelash curler and squeeze lightly for about 5 seconds and move up the lash about 3 times this seems to help my lashes curl. I also have found that the green Rimmel mascara has a "curved' brush with big bristles that also helps with giving my lashes that curl! You should look into it, its about $6
I love using Maybelline expert tool eyelash curler. You can use this with out the fear of cutting your lashes short or pulling them out. I use if for 3 seconds and do that 3 times and then I apply Maybelline Define a lash mascara and what it does it not only give you length but defines lashes as well.

I have those straight lashes that grow down and most of the time regular mascara's don't curl my lashes at all.
I read the waterproof mascara's work better so I was wondering what are some of your favorite and curl well?
