I have an issue, my skin is clear. sometimes it's dry but its oily in my tzone. but lately i've been noticing my skin has had more clogged pores than usual and my foundation looks super cakey no matter what foundation i use.and my concealer has been setting into fine lines under my eyes. im 18! that shouldn't be happening. so is it a skin problem, or a foundation problem? i just got a beauty blender dupe so hopefully that will help but i just want nice healthy glowing skin.

What kind of moisturizer do you use? If you've changed that up recently, it could be the culprit. I noticed you live in PA, and I do too, so the weather could also very well be a big part of it! Maybe look into a lighter foundation for summertime, or a light setting powder.

I agree with Victoria depending on the moisturizer your using is not working any more or if you've recently switched to a different brand, you could also try using a really good primer to help your skin look more radiant I personally love Makeup Forever's HD primer.

Do you use a primer?? Primers help prime the face, by creating a smooth canvas on your face. It also helps lock in all the good stuff... for instance... if you cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face. The primer helps to create a barrier (after all that is done), and helps from keeping your makeup inter-acting with your skin routine.

Now onto makeup... since the primer creates a smooth canvas, your concealer and foundation can glide on and won't settle into your pores, and fine lines.

My make up routine involves foundation, powder, blush, contour and highlighting... and on top of all that a final layer of HD powder to set everything. This is after my skin care routine, and a primer. Most times it doesn't look caked on, when it does, I blend it a little more.

If your foundation and concealer look too cakey, use a damp sponge (I use a regular triangle sponge you find at drugstores, you can use your beauty blender dupe)... and do a gentle bounce on parts of your face that looks cakey. Just keep 'bouncing' the sponge until the area comes to a coverage you like. ----- Hope this helps.

ive been using this hard candy primer, and ive read reviews and people have said it causes breakouts and clogged pores - so i think im gonna switch back to the l'oreal primer i liked before. but i still sometimes have really flaky dry skin that's accentuated with using foundation /: my skin is oily AND dry which is super hard for me to find a good moisturizer! any suggestions? drugstore and maybe some high end? im on a tight budget
