Hey every1 I have been trying to master applying my false leashes and have almost got it but no matter how much glue I use, the centre corners of the eyelashes always come unstuck and poke me in the eye lids which is very uncomfortable, any suggestions? I do apply them from the outer eye inwards.
It sounds like 1) they may be a bit long and you might need the trim the ends to fit. 2) try sticking the center down then the sides.
For me the easiest way to apply false lashes is to apply the glue to the eye not the lashes. It cuts down on the mess a lot and the glue get tackier quicker.
Another option would be to put a bit of glue on the back of your hand, run the lash along it, then apply. (Or, instead of using duo, Revlon has a lash adhesive with a brush applicator, which you may find easier.) And yeah, start in the middle and go outwards.

If you're still having trouble here are some steps I use.
Step 1- Sanitize the area you will be utilizing. It is very easy to get an infection if your eyelashes fall on a counter/or floor that's not clean.
Step 2- Gather your necessities. Your eyelashes (I prefer Ardell or Elite. They're inexpensive and can last a long time if you take care of them) Eyelash Glue (i prefer DUO Eyelash Adhesive. It is also cheap and for me and it does a great job adhering to the eye) This is optional but Q-tips come in handy for beginners. You wet it to to take off the glue if it happens to get in places that it is not wanted. You may also need tweezers to take the eyelash off of the package.
A small scissor
Eyelash curler
Your favorite mascara
Eyeliner
Step 3- With tweezers (optional) or your hands take off the the first eyelash and fit it to the eye. If it's too long snip the unwanted part off at the end. Repeat the same process for the other eye.
Step 4- Curl your eyelashes using a eyelash curler.
Step 5- Apply your favorite mascara. (I found the best mascaras for me are DiorShow Blackout or Maybelline's GreatLash)
Step 6- Everyone has their own way of putting eyelashes on. I have two ways myself. But I feel this is the best way to have the eyelashes appear more natural.
I put a small portion smaller than a dime size of adhesive on the counter and use the tip of my glue to place it on my eyelash. You don't need a lot just dap it on the tip of the glue and apply it on the "spine of the lash" This is on top of the eyelash. Apply until the "spine" is completely covered. Allow 10-15 seconds to go by or until the glue is tacky. Tacky simply means that the glue is not runny or too wet. Apply another dot of adhesive on the inner corners again. You need these corners to have a sufficient amount of glue. Get very very close but avoid putting the eyelash on your natural eyelashes. I start from the outside going inwards. Hold the end of the fake eyelash(the eyelash hair part) and place it parallel to where your natural eyelash ends and hold it in place for a few seconds. Then keep inching inwards until the entire lash is on and hold the corners. The corners are most important. Be careful of your pressure because the corner of your eyelashes will be downward and the middle will be pretty and upward.
Step 7--Repeat on the next side.
Step 8-Apply your favorite eyeliner if that's the look you're looking for. And voila.
This is the basic way to apply fake eyelashes.

try individual flare lashes. more natural, and you can put as many as you want, since everyones eye shape and length is different! :)
