I'm feeling so restless. I have my third and final interview at Sephora on Thursday. It's a demo (role play). I'm not sure if it'll be one on one with the manager or if some of the cast members will be involved. I'm pretty confident in my abilities but I want to feel a little more prepared. Anyone have any advice for me? And if any of you went through the demo could you tell me what you experienced? Thanks guys :)
Aww good luck Nisié on your interview! I am sure that you are going to do fantastic!
Some tips that I may suggest is that to always make sure you mention and show that you are sanitizing your hands and all of the products that you are going to use. Never double dip. Offer your client the handheld mirror so they can follow along and make sure you explain in easy details on what you are doing. If they start asking you about skincare make sure you ask the three skincare questions which are, whats your skin type, what are your main skin concerns, and what products are they using and why? Just bring a lot of excitement and confidence in your demo.
I work for Sephora, I'm assuming your demo is for color? You will be role playing with another cast member and a member of leadership will be observing/taking notes. Make sure you ask LOTS of questions to the client, you'll learn everything about hygiene and application techniques in Launch so dont worry about that. They just wanna make sure you can confidently work with a client, even if the completed "look" is crappy as long as u have confidence you'll be good :). Smile a lot and really try to connect with the "client" I was sooo nervous too but I started and totally relaxed. You've got this hun :) <3
Shannyn W. - Excitement and confidence. Check and check. Thank you so much for the tips :)
Kyle G- That made me feel so much better. You have no idea. Smiling will definitely come naturally. And I'm a talker so engaging the "client" should be a piece a cake as long as I don't think too hard and get in my own way. hahaha! Thank you as well!
UPDATE- Just got done with the 3rd interview. It went really well. I just relaxed and stayed myself. All of your advice really helped, so thank you again. I won't know anything for another week or two because the district managers are in Vegas for a conference and they approve all hires. Just keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!
