Moisture and lots of it. Plus, stop exfoliating so much. Your skin flaking and peeling means it had totally dried out. This will cause acne just as much as your skin being oily. When your skin dries out, your oil glands go into overdrive, and produce more sebum, which is only going to make your acne worse.
Stop scrubbing, switch to a gentle non foaming cleanser for a couple weeks (neutrogena gentle face wash is really good), and get a good thick night time moisturizer. Good luck!
No problem! That's why the forum is here right? I hope this works for you! And if you can afford it, I highly recommend Hope In a Jar for Dry Skin. It's $38, but the jar lasts at least 6 months so it's not that bad. It's my favorite moisturizer of all time. (you can get a trial size of original hope for $15 if you don't want to commit). It's just the best thing I've found for keeping my skin bright and hydrated.
