I recently switched from Mary Kay foundation to Maybelline 24 Hour Stay Foundation. I absolutely love it but if I wash my face with my Mary Kay face wash, I don't feel like it really washed it off. I've been using my body wash from Bath and Body Works to get it off. I'd love to use something meant for my face. Help please!
I like oil cleansers to remove makeup. They get off everything, but are super gentle. I use Shu Umera (which is crazy expensive). It was invented to remove Liz Taylor's makeup when she was shooting cleopatra. That one is the best, but there are cheaper ones. Josie Maran makes one, as does DHE. The DHE is the cheapest. It's not bad. If you don't want to buy a separate oil cleanser, you can use mineral oil, baby oil, or olive oil. Put it on your dry face, massage, then add water to emulsify the oil. Rinse off and all your makeup will go away. :-)
You could also just do a double cleanse, maybe even triple cleanse. Depending on your skin type, if your dry skinned - use a cream/oil based or if oily use a gel. It's seriously amazing how much make-up is left after double cleansing!!
