I've been debating on whether or not to get my eyebrows threaded and wanted some opinions and comments about it. I've heard that it's more healthy for your skin because it doesn't use wax and that it's much quicker than waxing. I've only ever plucked my eyebrows myself, never had them professionally done. Is eyebrow threading painful? Does it make the hairs stay away longer?
It hurts for a little while. It feels like the threads and grazing over your skin. I get mine threaded once a month and I don't do touch ups! It's worth it! I love threading!
It is quite uncomfortable as I find the hairs fall on your face, kind of like after a haircut when you feel like the hair is all over you! But it is really effective, and the hairs take a while to grow back afterwards - I'd definitely recommend it! X
Not too sure about the health factor, but it most certainly isn't any faster, and usually takes longer than waxing. However, the great thing about threading is the shape always comes out very nicely. Also, where I'm from, threading is so cheap! It's usually about $6 for eyebrow, and maybe $1-$2 for upper lip.
Forgot to mention.. It is quite painful :/ and like I mentioned before, will take longer than waxing. Since waxing is just one swift movement it happens really quickly, and feels like ripping off a bandaid. Threading is a slower process, and is therefore a bit more painful. But if you can deal with the pain, the price and the outcome can be hard to pass up :)
I looove getting my brows threaded! I've never had mine waxed before because I was so scared of it hurting and I really don't think it hurts much at all to do threading. It's like the same as tweezing to me pain-wise. And it's super fast, the places I go to (owned by the same family) never take more than 10 minutes to do both my brows. It's really worth it!
