I was using Clean & Clear Morning Burst face wash and moisturizer, however it was making me breakout and my skin got red and splotchy. Any suggestions that won't break my already poor budget? Lol
Something that won't strip all the natural oils from your skin, ideally it depends on your skin itself, your diet, your water in-take, age, etc I'd suggest the body shop :)
Cetaphil for Oily Skin. I have combo skin and this works perfectly. Ive tried a lot of cleansers and this works perfectly and wont strip my face. I follow up w La Roche Posay light moisturizer. I also use the scrub by La Roche Posay. LRP isnt cheap but Cetaphil is.
I love the acne.org face wash!!! I have sensitive acne prone skin. The acne.org treatment didn't really work out for me and I may try to use it again. But I LOVE the face wash because its enter and ph balanced and it actually takes off my makeup.. Olay has an amazing daily moisturizer!! The bad thing is you an only get the acne.org stuff online but their moisturizer is amazing also so you can always order both to make the shipping worth it..
Yeah, I don't really know what my skin is. I think it's normal. I've never ever broken out and literally have only had a max of 10 zits thus far in my life and I'm only 21. The only issue I really have with my ski is that it feels dirty a lot :/
As far as moisturizer, I've been using oil of Olay since I was 13 and I'm now 38. Keep ur hands away from your face since a lot of bacteria and oils are on your hands and fingers. Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water and keep ur skin hydrated as well.
CeraVe is also as gentle and Cetaphil, but has Ceramides. It's pretty much an ingredient that are skin-regenerating. A lot of higher end/department store products have it, but CeraVe is pretty much the most affordable/drug store brand that has it.
Get the Hydrating Cleanser for dry/normal or the Foaming Cleanser for oily/normal skin.
Wei rose cleanser. It's a little bit pricier, but since you only need a pea size for your whole face, it equals out. Also, don't skimp the toner. Toner is really important for those of us who's face balance is a little off. A good cheap moisturizer for oily skin is aloe vera gel. Plus it makes the skin feel more taught which is awesome. If you decide on the Wei, use a gentle scrub once a week. I like st Ives apricot scrub, but you can make one with sugar, lemon juice and a drop of olive oil. (the oil may sound bad, but it helps reign in the acidity of the lemon, and rehydrate the face. Just a DROP.)

If your skin is normal, maybe try a gel cleanser - like the ladies above said, Cetaphil is a great drugstore brand- dermatologist recommended.
