Can someone give me advice on what can do to keep my skin clear. My skin is kinda clear but it gets really dry because of the products I use. Is there something I can do to keep my skin clear without having to use all these products and avoid lotions cause they make my skin break out?
I can 100% say I have been there, done that. I used every product like ever- washes, topicals, antibiotics (and finally accutane but I'm not going to push that because it is up to you and it was drying). Are you using a dermatologist recommend product or something like Proactive?
Thank you and I'm happy to know I'm not the only one it happens to. My skin has gotten better its just mostly dry. What about lotions that don't cause breakouts??
Yes To products are the bomb! They have the Yes To Tomatoes which is designed for acne, but I use carrots and it doesn't break my skin out either (again though I did use accutane so it's close to impossible for my skin to break out). I recommend the tomatoes to everyone with manageable acne. Oh and incase you do decide to buy it, the site is good to learn about it but Amazon is significantly cheaper!
Also just a little side thought- you don't necessarily have to do this but I have heard good things from taking vitamins. Mainly (from what I've heard and I am not a researcher/scientist so I wouldn't quote me on this) vitamin A, E and Zinc. These can only help as long as you don't take to much (everything in moderation) Accutane is basically a large dose of vitamin A. If you do use these please make sure to use the advised dose.
Oh okay I take Vitamin E but I didn't know Vitamin A or Zinc. I drink lots of water :) so I think with all those things I think my skin should improve. :) Hopefully
I have the same problem, I get a lot of clogged pores and my skin does not like anything that has any kind of hydroxy/glycolic acids in it. I had put myself on a beauty budget (impossible) and stopped buying Origin's Never a Dull Moment and finally i couldn't take it anymore (my skin looked soo bumpy) and bought it and my skin looks so much better in just 2 days. It has Papaya extract which is a fruit enzyme and its gentle and non drying, I can use it everyday even twice a day (morning and night). Sometimes I leave it on as a mask too. Its $27 USD. Worth it.
I have that same problem and I use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Moisturizer. It rubs into your skin very well without leaving a greasy feeling at all. I use it morning and night and my skin as never been so good. Oh and it's the moisturizer for sensitive skin.
Burtsbees products are wonderful. They are made with natural products that are good for your skin. Also, drinking tea with honey at least 2 times a day will make your skin glow. After showers, rub coco butter lotions on your skin:)
I use an all natural soap, on my face everyday. And hardly ever a moisturizer unless I feel very dry. But the natural soap is not drying at all. And I don't have breakouts either. I also told a girl I work with about this and she now does it and she has great skin to. I get my soap from my mother-in-law but you can buy it places on line. My favorite if you can find it is tea tree and mint. Again not drying because it is natural.
