I have fair skin and I would LOVE to get that JLo glow, but I'm not sure if tanning is right for me. I like my skin the way it is, I'm just curious to see what I would look like tan. As for sensitivity, I'm not sure whether sitting in a tanning bed or fake 'n' bake is better because of my fair skin. On one hand, I can risk burning in the bed because I won't turn orange with the spray tan. On the other, getting a spray tan would be a better decision because I don't risk getting burned or skin cancer. Do you have fair skin, but tan regularly? What do I do?

I used to use the Neutrogena Micro Mist when I wanted to be tan, it was awesome. It is very natural while still being buildable, it doesn't streak, it's not orange, and once it dries it won't come off on clothes! I would definitely give it a shot, just make sure you do NOT rub it in once you spray it on!!!! If you do it'll look gross and streaky

I use the same thing as Kayli. I'm a bit of a darker skin tone, but the thing that's nice about the Neutrogena one is that it makes your skin change about 3-4 shades, it doesn't paint you some predetermined color that's not right for you

Stick with tan in a bottle. I have be to darker than what I'm in my pic because I take part in fitness competitions and my definition shows up better on stage with all the bright lights. Though you may not see any burns after a tanning bed session it definitely screws up your skin in the long run. You don't want to be 40 sporting tan and super wrinkled skin. Pull up a George Hamilton pic on the net and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have to agree with Kayli and Amelia...Neutrogena Micro Mist is pretty good to get the look you're trying to achieve. I've seen the can make its rounds at competitions and if body builders are using it then you know its the IN item to have. I use St. Tropez for a deeper tan...requires some work but worth it for what I do.

I'm fair. I hate self-tanners, but then I'm biased. Most of the ones I've tried in the past turned me into an oompa-loompa. And there's no way in hell I'm using a tanning bed.

IMO, use a good sunscreen and go outside in the sun for a little bit every day.

If you do try a self-tanner, do a test patch on your stomach or something first. That way you can see if it is going to turn you orange without having to walk around orange. You can also always return it if it doesn't work out.
