Hello all.

I would really, really love some advice on taking photographs of make up?

So many of you on here have gorgeous, clear, perfect pictures.

My pictures never seem to be as clear.

Does anyone have any tips on photographing and editing?

Any help appreciated! xox

Use your camera's macro setting (if it has one); it will help you with zooming in really close.

Use a tripod.

If your camera has a self-timer, use that. If you own a DSLR and can get a remote shutter release for it (they're not very expensive), you can use that.

I am no expert, but lately my pictures have been VERY clear. I use a small digital camera which we've had for years! I would make sure to use natural lighting and make sure your source of light is behind the camera's (so behind you). Try to have a clean surface, i use a small desk i have next to the wall (they are both white so its a great background since my makeup in the main focus). Of course it is all practice!
