Everybody's hair is different. I LOVE Dumb BLonde Shampoo, but when my hair is dry it's not my fave and as for Aussie 3 min mir. it gave my hair moisture but it felt like taffy after i washed it out (only while wet of course). I personally LOVE Fekkai Color Care MAsk http://www.fekkai.com/on/demandware...
and It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Keratin spray and Miracle Mask are my new faves.
I totally understand what youre going through, dont cut your hair off lol! I have to tell myself everyday that my hair will get better!!!!
Thanks Charlotte! I keep telling myself the same thing lol. With all the advice i've been receiving i sure my hair will get a lot better! Last night was my first night not washing my hair, and this morning i didn't notice my hair being oily! I was so happy! I do notice some split ends sticking out even after a flat iron session...do i cut does off??

I find that I can keep damage to a minimum by using the following on a pretty much day-to-day basis: damage care shampoo and conditioner, smoothing milk, heat protectant when i use a straightener or any heat styling tool. If you protect and repair, along with deep conditioning when needed, your hair's health should improve
Thanks Brianna! Smoothing milk...what is that? and how do you use it?
haven't read the other replies, but my suggestions are: don't shampoo everyday; use a protein reconstructor once a week (no more than once a week); use a deep moisturizing condioner, and leave it in for as long as possible; AVOID HEAT TOOLS; a good oil or serum for your ends HTH : )
Thanks Gretchen! How often should i really wash my hair?
Don't panic! First of all, the key is to pamper your hair back to health. I'm not sure what products you are using currently, but you need to replace the protein in your hair and add moisture. I usually do fruit facials on my Youtube channel, but in real life i also do DIY hair treatments.
Try this treatment first: in a bowl: Add 1 raw egg (with egg yolk and white part), add 1 Tspoon honey, If you have vitamin E oil- add 6-10 drops, Mix well.
Wet your hair and apply this mix to it evenly, paying close attention to your damaged areas.
Wrap plastic wrap around your head and let sit for 30-40 minutes.
Shampoo it out and then use your usual conidtioner.
*Avoid using ANY hot tools or chemicals like hair spray/ gel on your hair in the mean time until your hair recovers.
This should do the trick!
@ Cortney: Thanks girl, i like that! I think I'm going to try that this Friday!!! Thanks again!

For home remedies, use a hair mask once a week with olive oil or banana or avocado. Even eggs or mayo make good hair masks. You leave them on for 1hr and then wash your hair normally. The best oil for hair is argan oil because it has more benefits than olive and coconut oil combined and it's not greasy at all. Look for a site called beyas and go to their hair care section, there's this brand called Pro naturals which has all these argan oil products like shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and the oil which doubles as a heat protectant. They're awesome for preventing split ends and making hair smooth, soft and silky.

I wash my hair in ice cold water 2-3 times a week. Ahhh. I have 3 manic panic colors in my dark brown hair. I stick to Dove products for color damage and it does an amazing job. I like to flatten and also use a curling iron sometimes but I use Matrix Sleek Look Heat Sealer, Moroccan Oil and Keratin Complex every day. I may try some of these other suggestions though although with daily maintenance, you should be okay. I also try to not pull my hair up so much. I think it damages the ends.
You should really only wash your hair once a week, but another way to know to wash your hair is it if it looks dull or your scalp starts to itch. when you first start to not wash your hair often it gets oily easy, but you need to train your hair to not get oily often so when you start to wash your hair less & less your hair gets used to it & starts to not get oily as often. I recently bleached my entire head of hair, so it's incredibly dry & damaged just like yours so i know what you're going through! i've been trying so many products, but I heard "Loreals nature's therapy mega moisture nourishing shampoo & conditioner for very dry chemically processsed hair " it works great & smells AHHMAZING! you can buy it at sally beauty supply. also when you get out of the shower you should use a leave in conditioner i recently started using "ion moisture solutions intense hydrating miracle leave in conditioner" & it seems to be working good! you can also buy it at sally's another thing is natural hair masts like oilive oil avacado things like that. if you get one whole avocado mixed with 1table spoon of honey & two tablespoons of extra virgin oilive oil & put that in your hair for about a half hour, the avacado is really good for moisture & so is the oilive oil. you also might want to use sulfate free non foaming shampoos & conditioners i hope this all works for you! :)

wen would be the best to use. I use lightner on my hair and wen really helps
I too had fried hair, looks like you got great advice already. Personally I wash my hair just once or twice per week. Try using dry shampoo called Psssst. Spay on roots and just brush through. (smells good too) Try to find cute hair styles that work for u like the sock bun or braids, easier to style unwashed hair. I also just started using Living Proof No Frizz shampoo and conditioner, a weekly hair mask by organix, and try It's a 10 protective spray if u do use heat styling!
Best of luck....it will get better!! 😄
i use wen and it helps my hair so much
If your husband really loves you, he will not make an issue out of your hair if you want to cut it. No matter what, your happiness comes first, after all... your hair will grow back, right? I say, get a haircut, get rid of the fried, damaged hair & start over. You will feel much better & I'm sure your husband will still think your the most beautiful woman in his eyes.

Take a look at the ingredients of products - you don't want to go overboard on the protein. It will snap even worse - try diva curl treatment. Meant for curls, but the logic behind curly hair is keeping it suuuuuper moisturized, ideal thought for breaking hair. It's a 10 is a good leave in treatment for making hair feel better although your not going to have much luck in actually rebuilding it - once its damaged it's damaged. Also, stick with professional products - its ph balanced for skin and hair.

Deep condition your hair once a week and use a protein deep conditioner once a month. Homemade protein conditioners are great. As a regular deep conditioner, I use Aubrey Organics (For dry, brittle hair). Also try not to use a flat iron too much. If you use a blow dryer use it on low heat or cool. I hope this helps.

I'm currently using Joico K-pac reconstructer shampoo and conditioner and it works amazing. I don't wash my hair everyday but when I do 2 - 3 times a week its cleanses it without stripping it and moistures it without leaving it feeling oily or heavy later . Its honestly worth the what you pay for. My hair right now is dry , brittle and straw like because of over processing with an attempt of highlights , bleaching it and dying multiple times in less than a year and I feel the Joico k-pac along with hair chemist macadamia oil hair masque , Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner and less use of heat tools is definitely what's saving my hair right now and restoring it back to its normal state. Good luck (:
* the Hair chemist Macadamia Oil masque can be found in Sally's beauty supply and is said to be a dupe for the famous Macadamia oil deep repair masque in my opinion its just as good for a much affordable price.
u cant repair damaged hair....once its damaged u have no choice but to cut it off so it can grow bac properly:)
Get u a leave in conditioner , I love Pravana leave in treatment it's light but very moisturizing w/o adding weight to the hair

Take a break from all heat try doing deep conditioning hair mask and hot oil treatments and repairing shampoo if no improvement is seen after a while you will have to cut it or just suffer fried hair
Try a split end treatment shampoo and conditioner , it helps

I wash my hair every other day and I do my Apple Cider Vinegar treatment alternated with a Coconut Oil Treatment on the weekends. My hair is pretty fine and thin. With the amount of styling I do everyday plus a little color chemical on my fine hair that made it damaged and lifeless. i consider my hair in the process of healing that's why I use the ACV & Organic coconut oil treatment with the hopes of bringing it back to life.

To fortify your hair with strength try to use products with hydrolyzed protein, which is very similar to the protein in our hair. A good product is IONS intensive therapy protein rebuilder. Also Redken extreme anti- snap and strength rebuilder plus.
