Hi welcome to Beautylish! My tip for photo taking would to take the nail photos in natural light with a solid or almost solid background, preferably a light coloured one. Your Dirtbike Nails photo is my favourite. The lighting is good, nice background, natural light and it's really clear. Hope this helped :)

I really like the QTIP GRADIENT photo. Such pretty colors :) My advice is the same as the above on lighting, natural is the best way to go. Other than that, just make sure the nails are the maine focus of the photo. When you have too much going on in a picture it takes away from the main idea. Welcome to Beautylish!

Hi Katie! That's awesome that you're now into documenting and uploading your nail pix! All the above tips are good. Also, if you have a camera that isn't a phone camera (even a cheap point and shoot) you may find you get better results. Some of my favorite nail shots are super close up, so the hand is cut off and you're really just seeing the nails. As you look around on the site and see nail shots you like, study them to see what makes you like them. Simple observation is one of the best ways to improve your own photography.
