Hey girlies! I was wondering if any of you got Birchboxes and how you like them? Is it worth the ten dollars every month for the samples? Thanks if ya can help me out!

I, personally, didn't like the amount of products. I got super tiny samples and I just didn't think it was worth $10. I've seen people get great boxes so you may have better luck! I really enjoy the My Glam Bag. Just try it out and if you don't like it, you can cancel at any time.

I've gotten it for about 6 months now. sometimes it's hit or miss, but I get more hits. I did myglam as well, but it didn't work out for me.

I've had Birchbox for over a year now. While it can be a little hit or miss i've recieved products i never would have bought myself that i now cant live without. I've also had My Glam for the past few months. For me that has also been hit or miss on the samples. Though i do think My Glam sends out more full sized samples then Birch Box.

i did myglam for maybe the first 4-5 months they started. at that time, i just was getting stuff i couldn't use or didn't like. from looking at pics, it seems to be much better. however i'm already doing a subscription for hair products, so i'm not doing another one.

What people fail to realize is that Birchbox is a FANTASTIC service despite having hit and miss samples. I've been a member since May 24, 2011 and out of pocket I've paid $230 for my boxes - $10 a month the first year, $110 for an annual subscription on my anniversary. For the $230 OOP on subscriptions I've more than earned enough points in the 15 months to have get almost $300 in eyeshadows for FREE along with a ton of other products I've bought.

November 14, 2011 - Limited Edition: Birchbox Man $45, used 500 points got it for free. It included a pair of Skullcandy earbuds (which my husband still uses) that retails for $70.

December 17, 2011 I bought Beauty Blender Travel Kit, Anastasia Line Erasing Serum, Jurlique Rose Love Balm for a total price of $75.45 but paid only $5.45 OOP essentially earning $75 in free product after using 500 more points (equals $50) plus a $20 off $75 discount.

February 24, 2012 I bought. Supersmile Professional Whitening Toothpaste & Kérastase Bain Capital Force Densifying for $15.60 OOP and used 300 points plus a 20% off 9 month anniversary promo code.

My last order on July 11, 2012 was theBalm® cosmetics NUDE 'tude™ Nude Eyeshadow Palette, stila in the garden eyeshadow palette, stila in the light eyeshadow palette, stila in the moment eyeshadow palette, Benefit The POREfessional & stila It’s Go Time Lip Glaze Trio. Paid OOP: $5.20.

Subtotal $194.00
Shipping & Handling $0.00
Discount (3-Month Anniversary Discount - 20%, 3monthman) -$38.80
1500 reward points -$150.00
Grand Total $5.20

So while in total I've spent out of pocket on subscriptions and products: $256.25
Value of the products I've bought: $396.45+ (and this doesn't include the fact I got full size products such as a full size Laura Geller blush, a full size Stila eyeliner, a full size Eye Rock and lots of other products.

Essentially I've earned over $145+ in FREE products from Birchbox from reviewing the items I get in my boxes along with referring people and the stuff I DID pay for OOP I got points on that as well.
