Good way to start? Is to just start? Go for it! Try recording your own tutorials and once you've uploaded a few try advertising them around.

I've noticed a few things since I started Youtube:
1. People have short attention spans.
2. People LOVE HD videos.
3. People love nicely edited videos.
4. People love a personality.
I think you really have to think in terms of professionalism when creating a Youtube channel. After all, this is something you're "selling". You're selling a personality, a look, a design, a brand, you know? I believe in HQ videos with nice editing that are pleasant to watch. I love cutepolish's videos because she's short, sweet, and concise. I also think you should tell the audience every product you use in each video. That's something she doesn't do that I wish she'd do more!
I make sure to list everything I use in the bottom bar every time, and I've also set up Facebook and Twitter accounts so people can follow me and get in touch with me there.
Youtubing is something I'm pretty serious about so I've done some research! I love it. =] Can't wait to see what you come up with! I love watching nail videos because nails are definitely not my strongest suit. Good luck!
