I just moved to a new city and am very close to a Sephora, I have never had issues with this store before but at this location I walk planning to scope out a few new goodies to buy. As I'm walking around, not even touching products just looking I was ambushed 9 times in literally 5 minutes, when telling them I was just looking and deciding what I want I was then told I looked suspicious and followed so I left. I've worked in retail and I hardly look suspicious, wearing a sundress and flip flops with no purse just my bank card and phone in hand, would never make me suspect someone to be a shop lifter... Have any of you ever had this problem there?

I work at Sephora. Mostly we just make sure you're finding everything okay and suggest things to try :-). If we think there is a shoplifter we watch from a far and rarely approach till we see them actually taking something. They might have just been trying to be helpful. I'll approach people several times!

I don't mind being asked if I need help, but one went so far as to tell me I looked suspicious I didn't like that

Really! That's crazy. I would call management there. I've never approached someone and said they were suspicious looking. Don't let one bad seed ruin the store experience for you! As a sephora employee I'm sorry you went through that :-(

Thank you! Sephora is a wonderland for me, I'd like to work there when I'm done my aesthetic school as well ill definitely return to the store! Maybe the person was having a bad day. It's the only issue I've ever had :)

It's a lot of fun to work there! I really enjoyed it for a year now :-). They might've been having a bad day! But I'm glad that's the only issue you've ever had.

Yeah. The other thing to remember is that, as sad as it is. There is mad managers out there. That location might just have a really strict manager. Or in the managers defense, that location might have ALOT if theft problems and that's just how that have to act with everyone. None the less once you go there enough they will know your not a problem :)
