have you spoke to your hairdresser and docter about it? head and sholders have a shampoo and conditioner that helps restore broken hair and hair loss hope this helps xoxo
You should see a doctor... a hairstylist will not be able to diagnose what is causing your hair loss. It probably has something to do with what's going on inside of your body, as opposed to on your scalp. Good luck!
I think it's stress related... it's been a hard year. I had eye surgery a month ago and that's when it really started. Just tons coming out. I don't comb it in the shower. Just wash and condition and so much hair comes out. What kind of vitamins should I be taking? My hairdresser told me about Biotin, but it's not helping yet.
Sorry to hear that renee. cpl of things. It's poss it could be stress. have you had stress related breakage before? if not then othe options are it could be medication check. hair loss could be hormonal go your dr check your thyroid make sure your hormones are ok, do you have pcos it also can cause hair loss. I have hair loss due to thyroid. I take botin for strength and landrey s who has the same problem suggested folic acid. folic will help with thickness and help shedding. if it is stress related, loss won't stop until stress stops.
I think the stress is almost under control. I just wondered if there were any supplements anyone had tried that worked for them.. or tips anyone had. My hair itself falling out is pretty stressful though, so it's a terrible cycle. I don't color or really abuse my hair in any way.. I do use heat but I'm trying to keep blow drying to a minimum and am trying to wash it as little as possible or every other day. It's hard with thin/fine hair though. Washing it gives it the only oomph it has.
Sorry to hear about this Renee. I'm having the same problem at the moment - My hair is already quite fine but it keeps breaking off near the top or falling out altogether. I think mine is more due to lack of vitamins or a healthy diet. Would anybody be able to recommend what vitamins would be best to restore hair growth... Terrible with this kind of thing and it's getting me down. :/
Hey Darla, thanks for your reply! It's been on the list for me to do, i was just hoping there maybe a self help kind of treatment before i do so. I guess the safe bet would be to see the doctor though!! :) Thanks.
I agree. Hair loss could be something external, like harsh treatments, but major hair loss could be a symptom of something serious internally. To be on the safe side, I would definitely talk to a real doctor. Hope you figure this out!
I'm so sorry you're going through this! Definitely speak to a doctor. If anyone's going to have answers, it'll be them. I hope you can find a solution! <3
I wish I could just be okay with losing it, and my fiance is probably sick of hearing me cry about it.. but damn it, I'm a girl and I want nice hair =(. I do have hypothyroidism, which can contribute to hair loss, but my medication is supposed to take care of that. I'm still going to go to the doctor in a couple weeks for an annual exam, and I'll ask him then. I hope he gives me some magical answer to fix this. Thanks for the responses so far ladies, I really appreciate them all!
what meds are you taking? maybe the dose is too low also how long have you been o the meds? it will take some time too balance out. folic acid biotin protein tx on your hair(aphogee two step) evening primrose all will help with shedding

I would see a Dr. for sure. If you have a low protein level in your body, that will make your hair fall out. Good Luck:)
